Poppy James was born from my love of

California casual design (the poppy is our

state flower), and my sweet grandfather

James. My passion is to style and share
spaces that are not only beautiful, but cozy,
inspiring, and inviting.

The idea of styling homes came from a passion for
design, and moving so often.

Being a prior military family we would move every 2-
4 years. I would work quickly to create a cozy space
that was a reflection of my family and our California
casual lifestyle.

After friends and family started asking for advice on
their spaces, I realized I wanted to share this passion
with others. We currently live in a 1912 California
Craftsman bungalow with character and old home
charm. You can often find me

styling her on Instagram.

Based on the Peninsula, I am a mom, home styling
enthusiast, and believe there is no place like home. Home is
where family gathers, and your precious memories are made.

I believe in a clean, classic, organic, California cool aesthetic. I
follow the three C’s: cozy, curated, and casual. Always
focusing on natural elements, colors, and finding unique
pieces that tell a story with modern flair, and classic
sensibility.
